Michael D. Cassat, MD

Cassat Family Medicine is the clinic of Michael Cassat, MD. Dr. Cassat completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Arkansas in 1997, and his doctorate at UAMS in Little Rock in 2002. He returned to the area that he fell in love with during college, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at the Area Health Education Center in Fayetteville and Springdale, and has been here ever since. He has a wonderful wife and two beautiful children, ages 14 and 13. He is currently board certified in Family Medicine.

In 2008 Dr. Cassat decided to open his own clinic, with a different approach to traditional medical care. The goal was to focus on preventative, proactive care, trying to avoid his patients just being another number. Traditionally, appointments are made weeks to months in advance, but at Cassat Family Medicine, we utilize an open access schedule. That means for you, the patient, same day appointments if needed. You can always choose to schedule your visits ahead of time, but a good number of appointments are left open each day to care for you or your family if you are ill or need timely service. Additionally, we are expanding our hours to provide care on Saturday, from 8 am until noon.

Our philosophy is simple, we want to not only treat you when you are ill, but we want to become your partner in getting to a "healthier you". Whether it is assessing risk factors, controlling chronic problems, wellness exams, or helping with a weight loss and exercise program, our focus is on you, the patient, and you are our priority.
